Following completion of the December 2017 exams, a presentation ceremony was held on Friday, 9th February 2018 in Sydney.
It was great to see participants celebrate their success with their families. We were pleased to see a participant from Melbourne and a participant from Perth attend as well with their families. The evening began with a post-exam review meeting followed by supper. The presentation ceremony commenced with a “Welcome to and Acknowledgement of Country” by Dr Mary Iskander followed by a lovely message from Dr Michael Brydon, Chief Executive, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. Dr Andrew McDonald, Paediatrician, Campbelltown Hospital and Adj A/P Kathryn Currow, Executive Principal, SCHP also addressed their thoughts on the benefits and reach of the program.
We congratulated Dr Anne Stewart for securing the ‘First Place’ and receiving ‘The Commerford Prize’. Mr and Mrs Commerford were also present and Adj A/P Kathryn Currow acknowledged them for their ongoing support with our program. All of the successful participants who attended came up to receive their certificates presented by Dr Michael Brydon. The event was enjoyed by all participants, families and SCHP staff present with lovely photos captured through the evening including a group photo taken at the end which is available at the following link.
